One-on-One Coaching

Here’s what you can expect from our one-on-one relationship.

The Beginnings

We start off with a half hour conversation to get to know each other a little bit and make sure we’re a good match for coaching. Once we agree that we’re on the same page, we’re off and running! Our first session will focus on designing together our coaching relationship. You’ll explore your values, your dreams, and what is important to you, and I’ll ask you what you need from a coach and let you know what I need from you as a coaching client. You’ll have a chance to ask questions and learn more about me, and I’ll have the chance to ask questions and learn more about you. We get to the heart of what you want in your personal development, and get some understanding of what the steps will be along the way.

The Practice

From there on, we’ll schedule regular sessions (by phone or Skype) so that your personal development course gets under way. Luckily for you, the curriculum is your life. That means that you bring real events and challenges and successes from your life to our sessions. It means that you leave each of our sessions with homework assignments to take out into your world.

Doing the Work

You’ll be invited to explore unconscious habits. You’ll be assigned to learn to say ‘yes’ if you always say ‘no’, or to say ‘no’ if you always say ‘yes’. You’ll be challenged to find new ways to make decisions. Your values will be called up again and again, and you will live more and more in line with them every day.

I promise to bring integrity, attention, curiosity, and care. I commit to your growth, and I commit to challenging you and cheerleading you.

You commit to engaging in this process with your whole life.
