Ready for Change

About Me

My name is Laura McGrath, and my mission is to help people grow and change.

I’m a coach and facilitator in Toronto, Ont ario, and I work with people all over Canada and the world. What I love about both coaching and facilitating is the sense of possibility that opens up – whether it is individuals listening to each other in a group (facilitating), or individuals listening to their own values and dreams and acting on them (coaching) – it is inspiring to be in the presence of a sense of possibility.

For the types of coaching clients I love to work with, check out my blog post, Why I Love My Amazing Coaching Clients.

As a facilitator, my areas of specialty are the non-profit and social change sectors. I also facilitate the One Change course, open to anyone committed to making a change over the course of a month.

I bring to my work six years working within non-profits (environmental, youth, and international development sectors), experience in public sector institutions (education, project coordination) and a wide variety of professional training. I have an Honours B.A. with High Distinction from the University of Toronto, where I studied psychology, linguistics, and anthropology.

I blog about what I’m learning as a coach and a coaching client on this site’s blog. I also co-lead a peer coaching circle for new coaches developing their coaching skills, and I write a weekly Coaching Tip of the Week email newsletter for coaches and clients interested in coaching theory.

My personal experience includes the thrill of bicycling alone across Canada, running a marathon, writing a novel for the International 3-Day Novel Contest, and hiking the East Coast Trail in Newfoundland.
